Permits in the canton of Vaud
In the canton of Vaud, you submit your applications to the residents' registration office or foreigners' office of your municipality, which forwards them to the Population Service (SPOP).

- Employer: form 1350 in 3 copies to the municipality where the company is based; review by the DGEM (Directorate General for Employment and the Labour Market), CHF 400
- G permit
- Employer: form G1 or G2 directly to the SPOP (also online); CHF 70, or CHF 55 for a change of employer
- C permit
- Via the municipality: contract and 3 payslips, debt enforcement register extract, language certificate

In practice
Renewing a C permit takes about a month and can be requested no earlier than 3 months before expiry.
